    ULM's Professor of History, Ralph Brown, Ph.D. began a lecture series, "World War II: A Closer Look" on Oct. 1 at the Ouachita Parish Public Library as a continuation of his efforts to connect world history with the community.
  • AT&T provides scholarships for ULM Top Hawks
    AT&T announced a $25,000 contribution to the University of Louisiana at Monroe Foundation to contribute to the Top Hawks fund. The fund provides scholarship dollars to students who have achieved academic excellence during high school.
  • ULM to host Director Jarvis of the U.S. National Park Service on Oct. 6th
    Director Jarvis of the U.S. National Park Service will visit ULM on Oct. 6th and attend a variety of local events while sharing the importance of preservation.
  • ULM announces 2015 Alumni Award Winners
    The University of Louisiana at Monroe Alumni Association will present its annual awards: the Golden Arrow Award; the George T. Walker Lifetime Achievement Award; Rising Young Alumnus Award; and the ULM Service Award during a brunch held at ULM Oct. 3 during Homecoming Week.

  • ULM and Chase partner to create unique Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Mortgage Analytics
    The University of Louisiana at Monroe announced a new Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (PBC) program in Mortgage Analytics. The program, which was approved by the Louisiana Board of Regents, was developed jointly by the ULM College of Business and Social Sciences and Chase to meet specific talent gaps in the financial services industry.

    The University of Louisiana at Monroe has once again earned Tier One status on the U.S. News and World report's annual "Best Regional Universities" list. ULM made the list for best southern universities at number 93.

    The Office of Career Connections at the University of Louisiana at Monroe provides various career services to ULM students and alumni. Each fall, the office begins its workshop and fair series to help students and alumni find internships and jobs in their field.
  • Enrollment increases; freshman class impresses
    With a total enrollment of 8,854 students, the University of Louisiana at Monroe has exceeded its goal of 8,800 students for fall 2015. This includes an increase of 337 students since last fall, and another academically talented freshman class of 1,401 students--an eight percent increase over the fall 2014 freshman class.

    The Child Development Center (CDC) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe has earned its sixth consecutive "Five-Star" rating from the Louisiana Quality Start School Readiness Rating System.

  • Torregrossa named ULM police director
    The University of Louisiana at Monroe has announced George "Tom" Torregrossa as its new Director of the University Police Department. Torregrossa comes from the Monroe City Police Department after 36 years of service.
  • ULM College of Arts, Education, and Sciences to host art crawl on campus
    The artwork of University of Louisiana at Monroe students and faculty will be presented during a special exhibition from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, in various campus locations.
