  • Miss Louisiana Outstanding Teen Pageant comes to ULM
    The Miss Louisiana Outstanding Teen Pageant will be held at the University of Louisiana at Monroe May 29-30. The 29 young women from across the state arrived at ULM's Brown Auditorium to begin rehearsals and preparation for preliminary and final competition on Wednesday.
  • ULM graduate student receives conference scholarship
    Amber Bettencourt, a University of Louisiana at Monroe Speech-Language Pathology graduate student from Santa Clara, Calif., received a full scholarship to attend the 2015 Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) meeting in Indianapolis this week.

    Dr. Joni Henry Noble, associate professor of art at University of Louisiana at Monroe, has been accepted into the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition 2015. The exhibition is an international, juried competition held annually for the last 247 years at the Royal Academy of Art in London.

  • ULM water skiers compete in international tournament
    The 56th Masters Water Ski and Wakeboard Tournament--considered the most prestigious tournament in the sport--is an invitation-only tournament for the world's greatest water skiers. This year's event features a host of current, former, and incoming students from the University of Louisiana at Monroe Water Ski Team.
  • ULM faculty member to study freshwater supply in the Eastern Caribbean
    Dr. Sean Chenoweth, associate professor of geosciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, will conduct research on fresh water wells and naturally-occurring sinkholes on the island of Barbuda in the Eastern Caribbean this summer.

    University of Louisiana at Monroe President Dr. Nick J. Bruno has announced the President's List and Deans' List for the spring 2015 semester at ULM.     Dr. Terry L. Jones, professor of history at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, began his journey as a regular contributor for the New York Times in 2011 as the publication embarked on its online "Disunion" series. "Disunion" details the Civil War through diary entries, photographs, and historical accounts.

  • LSBDC at ULM to offer free workshops
    The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe will offer four free workshops as part of their week-long celebration of small business. The organization is also premiering a new-look as part of a nation-wide rebranding effort.
