  • 15th Annual Student Research Symposium set for March 12
    The 15th Annual Student Research Symposium will be held from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 12, in the University Conference Center, located on the 7th floor of the University of Louisiana at Monroe Library.
  • Region III science and engineering fair at ULM Tuesday
    The University of Louisiana at Monroe will host the Region III Science and Engineering Fair, beginning at 8 a.m., on Tuesday, March 3 in the Student Union Ballroom, located on the second floor of the Student Union Building.
  • ULM to remain closed Feb. 26
    Due to the continued threat of inclement weather, the University of Louisiana at Monroe will REMAIN CLOSED, and all classes canceled, Thursday, Feb. 26. Normal operations and classes will RESUME at 7:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 27.
  • Civil Rights leader Hollis Watkins to speak at ULM Feb. 24
    Hollis Watkins, best known as a long-term veteran of the Civil Rights Movement will speak at the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 24, in the Student Union Ballroom A on the ULM campus.
  • ULM's Duggins elected to Louisiana Business Incubation Association board
    Susan Duggins, director of the Northeast Louisiana Business and Community Development Center (NLBCDC) at the University of Louisiana at Monroe, has been elected as secretary of the Louisiana Business Incubation Association (LBIA).
  • ULM Child Development Center awarded for outdoor classroom
    The outdoor classroom environment at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Child Development Center recently won its second recognition from the Southern Early Childhood Association (SECA). The classroom was also featured in the SECA publication "Dimensions of Early Childhood."
  • Tickets now on sale for ULM production of West Side Story
    Tickets are now on sale for the University of Louisiana at Monroe's 2015 spring musical, "West Side Story," which runs Thursday, March 26, through Sunday, March 29 in ULM's Brown Auditorium. The spring musical has become a must see event over the years, with recent multiple sold out performances of "Chicago," "Guys and Dolls," and "Into the Woods."
  • ULM Mardi Gras closure Feb. 16-17
    The University of Louisiana at Monroe will close for its annual Mardi Gras break beginning at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 13. Offices will reopen at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 18, and students return Thursday, Feb. 19.
  • ULM Child Development Center to raise funds for St. Jude with annual trike-a-thon
    The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Child Development Center will host its annual spring community service project--the Mardi Gras Parade Trike-A-Thon for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. The event teaches children about the importance of service.

  • ULM alumnus visits as Composer in Residence
    Jay Bocook, a University of Louisiana at Monroe alumnus, will serve as a School of Visual and Performing Arts Composer in Residence beginning Feb. 23. Bocook earned a master of music education from ULM in 1977.
  • ULM online education programs nationally ranked
    Three education programs at The University of Louisiana at Monroe have been nationally ranked in the latest edition of "Best Value Online" by TopMastersinEducation.com. The programs ranked include: curriculum and instruction, teaching, and educational leadership.
  • ULM student and professor create African American history display; lecture Wednesday
    Xiomara Bell, a Tallulah native and master's student in the University of Louisiana at Monroe's history program, has created an African American History display with Associate Professor of history, Dr. Jeffrey Anderson. The display is now open for viewing in ULM's Special Collections, located on the 5th floor of the ULM Library.
  • ULM Foundation honors donors; names Hall of Distinction recipient
    The Foundation at the University of Louisiana at Monroe held its annual Donor Recognition Program in the ULM Library Conference Center on Feb. 6. Honored were members of the Kitty DeGree Bell Tower Society, and the University Associates. The Hall of Distinction Award--given to donors with a lifetime commitment of over $1 million--was presented to the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation.
  • ULM career fair for students and alumni Feb. 11
    The University of Louisiana at Monroe's Office of Career Connections will host its annual spring Career Fair for ULM juniors, seniors, and alumni, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the Student Union Ballroom, located on the second floor of the Student Union Building (SUB).
